Personal Safety

Sept. 2002 - Sept. 2003

__Without understanding of the most basic aspect of our daily lives, personal safety, we will not be able to get to know each other in the true sense of the meaning. This initiated our project for the year 2002-2003.

__High school students in Osaka, Japan and in Hawaii, USA have been working on joint online projects for the past several years. Twin Earth Project won Unesco Award for the Mytown Map Concour in 2001, and the Korean Nursing Home Project won the Foreign Minister's Award in March 2002.

__Virtual Brainstorming Board developed by Naoyuki Kobayashi, ICT coordinator at Seikyo Gakuen High School will be the key technology for the project this school year. The free exchange of ideas posted by brainstorming in debate class or in any other class activities should give light on the possible differences of the young people across the Pascific Ocean.

__Participating students will visit each other at the final stage of the project to see in their own eyes what they have learned from each other.
